How we use your details
This website is run by HD Lifestyle Installations CC t/a Shawtech, Polokwane, Limpopo. We keep this simple: we only ask for what we need to phone you back.
What we collect
Only what you type into the call-back form or the chat: your name, phone number, town or farm area, and your message.
No cookies and no advertising tools. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not follow you personally. Like every website, the hosting service keeps short technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site safe.
Why
To phone you back about your request, and, if you become a client, to plan and support your installation. We do not send marketing, and we never sell or share your details for marketing.
Who helps us
- Netlify hosts this website.
- Web3Forms passes your message from the website to our email.
- Apple iCloud hosts our email. A copy of website messages is kept in a Google Gmail mailbox, so we can sort them.
- Cloudflare counts visits to this website (no cookies).
These services may store data outside South Africa, under their own privacy and security protections.
How long we keep it
If a request does not lead to work, we delete it within 6 months. Client records are kept as long as the law requires for business and tax records.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@shawtech.co.za. The owner of Shawtech is our Information Officer.
If you are not happy with how we handle your details, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.
